Golf at Pine Lake

One of the top 20 Most Challenging Private Courses in Charlotte...

With nearly a century of rich golfing history and tradition, PLCC proudly offers one of the most
beautiful, challenging and well-maintained golf courses in the Charlotte area.  The serene, picturesque
setting of 157 acres with five fresh water lakes as a backdrop appeals to golfers of all levels and ages.

Our course was originally built in the early 1950's by Gene Hamm, a native North Carolinian and
Robert Trent Jones collaborater, who also designed the Duke Unviersity course among others.
In 1988, the course underwent an extensive renovation by renowned architect John LaFoy.
LaFoy began his career assisting George W. Cobb remodeling the Augusta National Golf Club in
the mid 1970's and through his design work, has garnered the reputation as a devotee of the
legendary Donald Ross. Pine Lake reflects that nod with each hole master of its own character.

The 18-hole, 72-par course is very "walkable" and provides golfers a welcomed respite from the hectic
pace of today's world.  The design provides golfers of all skill levels an enjoyable challenge.
