Brian McLaughlin - Head Golf Professional
Brian was born in Northwest Indiana and moved to the Charlotte area when he was 8 years old. He started playing golf at the age of 11 at Raintree Country Club where his parents were members for several years. He played golf for Quail Hollow Middle School on a team that won their conference every year during his middle school tenure. Brian started golfing more frequently after high school while working at Piper Glen and Raintree Country Club.
Over the past 20 years, Brian has been in the golf business at three different clubs, he began his professional career at TPC Piper Glen in 1995 then moved to Raintree Country Club as an Assistant Golf Professional in 2001. In 2006 he accepted the First Assistant Professional job at Pine Lake Country Club. Brian has 15 years experience in teaching, club fitting and club repairs and is working his way towards his PGA Class A Certification.
Brian is married, his wife Michelle is an Oncology Nurse, and they have two children; Savannah and Shelby. They reside in Indian Trail, NC.
Doug Howard - First Assistant Golf Professional
Doug is a native of Connecticut and has been in Charlotte for 19 years. He attended Elmira College in Upstate New York where he majored in Criminal Justice, minored in Marketing and played both golf and hockey. He stresses the importance of sound basics in his teaching. Believing that grip, stance, posture, alignment and weight distribution are the foundation for better and more enjoyable golf. Doug has been a national Top 100 club fitter for Mizuno on 3 separate occasions. He also enjoys travel, sports and photography.
